Professional Development Opportunities

Welcome to the Professional Development Programme. The programme incorporates development opportunities for Children and Young People's Service staff in schools and learning settings.

Our programme is now presented as a fully searchable database which gives greater ease and speed of access.

To find an event, course, conference or other professional development opportunities, please visit our online programme where you can search by area, course title keyword or date.

This is regularly updated, on a weekly basis if necessary.

Most courses in the programme need to be booked using TMOnline, the local authority's online booking system.

TMOnline booking system

The system is supported by a monthly bulletin which is to be found in the Circulars within the Sandwell Extranet. This Circular lists professional development opportunities in the forthcoming two months, including key external events which may be of interest.

A termly wall chart is also produced which lists the next term's events. This is sent out to all schools, Learning Communities and PRUs.

A Professional Development 'E-Newsletter' is also produced, which highlights some key events and also showcases and draws attention to local, regional and national developments of interest. To access past copies go to the E-Newsletter page.
